Mercy Ships

The work of Mercy Ships , an international charity, uses a hospital ship ‘Africa Mercy’ to provide life-saving medical and dental care to the world’s forgotten poor.

The crew consists of over 450 volunteers from 40 nations. Mercy ships deliver free health care and education, specialising in a wide range of medical needs. Dental care is a key part of their work as dental services are almost non-existent in the countries Mercy ships visit.

Mercy ships dental team know that a smile goes a long way. A major part of the Mercy Ships’ work focuses on oral health, treating patients and improving oral health through dental hygiene education and the training of local personnel.
